I got to be somewhat fascinated by the paranormal and Earth Changes when I was a kid. I had read all of the science and science fiction in the library that interested me and then found a flying saucer book. I read through everything in the paranormal section and it interested me because, outside of the obvious fakes and tall tales there did seem to be some lingering questions.

In that general area is the topic of Earth Changes, large scale, usually catastrophic things that are frequently predicted to be imminent such as the eruption of the supervolcano under Yellowstone or the more real world changes attributable to Climate Change. They never seem to pan out though and kind of leave you wishing that just once, one of them would. Kind of like a christian hoping for the “second coming” even though you know it means death and destruction.

I have found some cool sites on the web that give (usually) real time data on actual things going on in the world right now. I thought I would collect those sites into one place here as an eay reference for people who want to check on them. Here they are as clickable screen shots. This site shows you real time lightning strikes all around the planet and is pretty cool.

This site gives ocean conditions like wave direction and sea surface temperature.

This site from the USGS provides the latest earthquake data.

This site is from NASA and provides real time or near real time solar activity.
